Women of Hope Ministry
Women of Hope Seminars
teach about biblical women and life application.
One aspect of the seminars is equipping the women to continue the teachings in their own churches. Burundi Hope provides copies of the teachings as well as Bibles to the women’s leadership to use in teaching the lessons. We have partnered with the women’s leadership team of CEEM and 16 teaching teams now travel throughout the country teaching the same seminar with the mission of reaching all 167 churches within a year.
Sewing Centers
The Sewing Center Program has given birth to Sewing Center: Ephphatha which employs 7 tailors and 4 interns.
It is 99% sustainable and is the model for other smaller Sewing Houses operated by individual churches' women’s ministries. All of the programs have begun with making sustainable women’s hygiene kits to manage their monthly cycles. Each of the churches has developed unique projects that support the needs in their communities.
Hope House
Hope House was established in April 2023 as a pilot program when the Burundi Hope team realized there were women of all ages who were trying to overcome challenging circumstances.
These include widows with little or no income; deaf or blind students seeking to acquire higher education; abusive situations with husbands or other family members; and homelessness due to illness. It provides a temporary safe and healthy environment and assists with education, skills training, or job placement to help the women to live independently.

Greatest Needs
Sewing Centers &
Sewing Machines
Assisting with the purchase of sewing machines for Sewing Centers and smaller Sewing Houses is an opportunity for sustainable businesses for women and their families. Any woman or church group who provides half the cost of a machine will have the cost matched by Burundi Hope.
Bibles &
Copy Books
Owning a copy of God’s word is a precious gift. Bibles are distributed to churches and individuals through the Women of Hope seminars. Copy books are needed by every family with school age children. The beginning of school brings an economic challenge with each student needing up to 8 copy books and a family with 6 -10 children attending school. Burundi Hope distributes thousands of copy books each September to the schools, families in the Emmanuel Churches and surrounding community.
Operating Costs
of Hope House
Burundi Hope is funding the operation of this facility through outside support. Funding is needed for maintaining the house, providing skills training or support of further education for the resident, and day to day needs of the residents.
